The Basic Stir-Fry

Stir-frys are your best friend on the yeast free diet. This is a basic recipe. Mix up the veggies and protein and you've got another meal.

Ingredients: (measure yourself! what you throw in is what you get)
*the batch pictures below contains:
Shrimp
Chicken
Garlic
Cabbage
Carrots
Zucchini
Mung Bean Sproats
Water
Braggs
Arrowroot powder
Salt/Pepper

All that got wok fried in some olive oil. Garlic first, chicken next, carrots then zucchini, mung beans sproats and cabbage then shrimp. Make a slurry made from a tablespoon of braggs, a tablespoon of arrowroot powder, and 1/2 cup water. Pour the slurry over your stir-fry and stir so the arrowroot doesn't overcook and become gummy. Arrowroot replaces corn starch as a thickener here and creates a mildly thick sauce for your stir fry.

Hi Candy,
We're about ready to try this. Couple of questions, can we use cumin or agave (natural sweetner) in any of our dishes? Mahalo Nui!

Wow this is a late reply. Agave would be out if you are following the diet exactly. As I've written, my main "cheat" is that I use Stevia. If you want something sweet, a simple mock teriyaki sauce I made for stir frys is taking 1 cup of water, 1/8 cup of braggs, couple tablespoons sesame oil, and a dropper full of braggs. The sauce kinda taste like teriyaki, sweet and salty.

As for cumin, I omit it from my cooking because it's hard to find it fresh. Per detox rules, all your seasonings should be fresh.

Hope this helps!

Hi Candi,

What do you know about Kambucha, is this ok to drink during a cleanse?
